The Yankees have won 16 of their last 19 in Minnesota and look to continue their dominance Saturday in the third game of the series. I don’t expect as much scoring as there has been on Thursday and Friday. Both those games went over. I expect the run production to come back to earth. The New York Yankees scored a total of 13 runs during a recent five-game losing streak. Expect this type of production from the Yankees on Saturday.
PITCHING MATCHUP: Yankees RH David Phelps (3-4, 4.26 ERA) vs. Twins RH Yohan Pino (0-2, 6.32)
Phelps beat the Twins on the Fourth of July a year ago, giving up four runs in 6 1/3 innings. I expect him to correct his mistakes and have a better outing this time around.
Pino still is seeking his first major-league win in his fourth career start. The pressure is on and Pino will bring his A-game.
